ICONIC Board Certified Holistic Health Doctorate
The IBC-HHD™ recognizes doctorate-holding practitioners at the senior level of the ICONIC Board credentialing pathway. Reserved for practitioners with an approved doctoral degree in holistic or integrative health who have demonstrated advanced practice, education, and contribution to the field. Prerequisite for the Diplomate (Tier V) and pathway to the Fellow (Tier VI) designations.
The IBC-HHD™ can be obtained via two pathways. Both require an approved doctorate in a holistic or integrative health field.
Credential holders who have completed the Educator tier (IBC-HHE™) and hold an approved doctorate. Streamlined review with documented progression history.
Senior practitioners with an approved doctoral degree who apply directly without prior ICONIC Board credentialing. Subject to full doctoral review including case study submission.
The Doctorate credential is the most rigorous in the ICONIC Board pathway. All applicants must hold an approved doctoral degree. There are no exceptions to the doctorate requirement.
An earned doctoral degree (PhD, ND, DNM, DSc, or equivalent) in a holistic, integrative, or naturopathic health field from an accredited institution. The Board reviews institutional accreditation and program content during the application review. Non-holistic doctorates may be accepted with sufficient supplementary holistic health training documentation.
Combined documented hours of client work, student instruction, and professional supervision. Hours must span at least two practice contexts (e.g., individual client sessions plus group instruction or mentoring). Hours are self-reported and confirmed by professional references.
A minimum 500-word case study demonstrating doctoral-level application of holistic health principles in practice, or a summary of original research relevant to holistic health practice standards. Evaluated for professional depth, ethical application, and contribution to practice knowledge.
Declaration of whether you are applying via progression from IBC-HHE™ or via direct entry. Direct entry applicants undergo a more comprehensive review and may be required to provide additional documentation of holistic practice history.
Agreement to the full ICONIC Board Code of Ethics with doctoral-tier acknowledgements covering research integrity, professional representation of doctoral credentials, and senior-level responsibilities to the field. Review at iconic-board.polsia.app/ethics.
Three professional references, including at least one from an academic or senior clinical context. Plus the application fee ($495 standard; fee-by-application available for qualified direct-entry doctoral candidates). All references are contacted directly during the extended review process.
The Doctorate credential is not a volume credential. It is awarded to a select group of senior practitioners who meet the Board's doctoral requirements and have demonstrated exceptional professional contribution to holistic health.
Senior holistic health practitioners who hold an earned doctorate in a holistic, integrative, or naturopathic health discipline
